Q: Is it permissible to have sexual intercourse with a domestic worker, and is she considered like a slave or an owned person (a bondswoman)?
A: It is forbidden to have sexual intercourse with a domestic worker who is hired for work; because that is zina, and it is one of the greatest major sins from which the Shari'ah has warned. As for the owned person whose intercourse the Shari'ah has permitted, she is the woman who has been enslaved through legal Islamic slavery. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
