The son’s reliance on a male or female servant in fulfilling his duties toward his parents

Answer:
No, this is not permissible. It is obligatory to care for one’s parents and not to rely on servants for this matter. Rather, one must care for one’s parents, be kind to them, treat them with dutifulness, and strive to do everything that benefits them and protects them from harm. This must be done by the child, whether male or female, who must exert effort in being dutiful to his parents and in rectifying everything that benefits them. While directing the male and female servants and encouraging them to do good is part of it, one must not rely on that alone. A servant may fall short, may forget, or may be lazy.
Therefore, the child must care for his parents and not rely solely on the work of the servant.
