She took them into one of the rooms of the house to clean them, and left her daughter, who is six months old, sleeping on a bed in her room. When she returned, she found her dead, having fallen between the bed and the wall . She asks whether she owes an expiation. We hope you will calculate the reward and issue a ruling for the questioner. May Allah guide you and keep your steps steady. Amen, and peace be upon you. .
A: If the situation is as the questioner described and there was no negligence on her part in this matter, then she owes nothing; for the original state is the innocence of the conscience. We ask Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) to compensate her with something better and to console her for her loss. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
