The second question of Fatwa No. ( 8776 )
Q2: What is the Islamic ruling on the beverage currently found in the markets, called "Musa" , which is made from barley water, given that I have learned it is being traded in Saudi Arabia ? What is the Islamic ruling on this beverage?
A2: If drinking a large amount of it causes intoxication, then it is khamr (intoxicants), and it is forbidden to drink a large amount or a small amount, and it is obligatory to pour it out. If drinking a large amount of it does not cause intoxication, then it is permissible to use a small amount or a large amount for drinking or other purposes. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
