Q: He wrote the divorce of his wife twice, took her back, then wrote her divorce for the third time, and asks whether it is permissible for him to take back his divorced wife given the situation described?
A: If the matter is as the questioner described, that he wrote the divorce of his wife once, then took her back and wrote it a second time, then took her back and wrote it a third time, and then sent her to her family, then his divorced wife has become permanently divorced from him by a major divorce, and she is not lawful for him until she marries another husband, a marriage of desire, not a marriage of dissolution. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
