Is a man's jealousy of a woman considered a divorce?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 1512 )
Q: The content is that the questioner disapproved of a man greeting his wife and meeting with her, and he advised and warned him many times, but he did not heed the advice. Finally, he found her sitting with him in his brother's house, which increased his anger. When this man left his brother's house, the husband of this woman hit him, and the other man hit him back, and they went to the police. Then they reconciled. Then he asked for his wife from her family, and they said: There is no obstacle, but after you ask the Dar al-Ifta about the suspicion.
A: A man's jealousy of his wife and his honor in general, and his preservation and protection of it, is what the Shari'ah of Islam obligates him to do. So this husband is to be praised for his jealousy of his wife regarding anyone who meets with her in his absence or in his presence in a manner that involves suspicion, and he is to be praised for advising his wife to avoid this man and other non-mahram men, and not to stand in a position of suspicion and doubt. However, the mere greeting of a non-mahram man to her and his meeting with her is not considered a divorce, and the marriage is not dissolved by it, even though that action is not permissible. Likewise, the husband's bad opinion of them and his suspicion regarding their matter is not considered a divorce, nor is it an accusation of adultery, and it does not make her forbidden to him. So the questioner's wife is still his wife, and he must preserve her and advise her. And she must obey him in what he orders her regarding the preservation of her honor, and staying away from suspicion and places of accusation, in order to protect herself from what
would disgrace her in her religion and her honor, and in observance of the right of Allah, and the fulfillment of marital rights. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
