Fatwa number ( 2035 )
Q: I got angry at my wife and sent her back to her father’s house, and nothing came out of my
tongue, and my intention was to divorce her later, but I took her back and did not want to divorce her when I took her from my house to her father’s house; rather, I wanted to divorce her later, and I have not divorced her until now, and she is pregnant .
A: If the matter is as you described, the wife is still under your protection, and taking her to her family is not a divorce. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
