Leaving the small child alone in the house

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 19335 )
Q: I live next to the mosque, and I am about a minute or less away from it. My problem is that I have a one-year-old child, and when I go to the mosque for the 'Asr prayer, I leave him inside the house with the door locked on him; because his mother is studying at school in the afternoon, and they are prohibited from bringing children to school. I am afraid of sin, and I am also afraid of missing the 'Asr prayer in congregation at the mosque. What should I do? Please guide me, and may Allah reward you with good.
A: Leaving a one-year-old child alone in the house is negligence on your part regarding the trust that Allah has placed in your care. It is obligatory for the wife to sit with him or to leave him in the care of someone she trusts, with her husband's consent. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
