The marriage of a man’s daughter to the wife of his grandfather

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 3243 )
Q: Is it permissible for me to marry my paternal uncle’s daughter, given that my paternal uncle is married to my maternal grandmother (my mother’s mother), and this girl is from another wife of my uncle? I know that there is no breastfeeding involved, but I have doubts because my maternal grandmother is one of his wives and her children are my maternal uncles. Also, since the father is the same, it was said that it goes back to the milk of the male.
A: If the situation is as you described, namely that your uncle is married to another wife besides your grandmother (your mother’s mother), and that your uncle’s daughter whom you wish to marry is from that other wife and not from your grandmother, and that there is no breastfeeding, then it is permissible for you to marry this girl. This is because the original ruling is permissibility, and no impediment has been found. The fact that your grandmother (your mother’s mother) is the wife of this girl’s father does not affect your marriage to her, as long as she is not from her and she did not breastfeed you.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
