If he kissed a woman, is it forbidden for him to marry her?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 11564 )
Q: About seven years ago, a love story began with one of the girls, and she lived next to my residence. I was twenty years old at the time, and she was two years younger than me. We used to meet together, and the love increased over the passage of time and over the course of seven years. However, I made a mistake and embraced her, and we exchanged kisses. I have continued to love her until now. When I wanted to get married, my father wanted to marry me to one of the relatives. But I asked some shaykhs about this matter, and one of them told me: that marrying this girl with whom the love story occurred
is considered invalid, and whatever is built upon what is invalid is invalid. I am now confused about my situation. Should I choose the first one or the second? And if I take the second, is there a sin on me toward the first girl? I ask for the answer, and may Allah reward you with all good.

A: If the matter is as mentioned, it is permissible for you to marry the first girl if the pillars and conditions of the marriage contract are met. The kiss that occurred does not prevent marrying her. However, your obedience to your father in marrying the second is dutifulness to your parents and excellence in worship toward them, and maintaining family ties if she is righteous in her religion. Know that your action with the girl is forbidden, and you must repent and seek forgiveness from what happened. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
