The Wife of One’s Paternal Uncle and Its Rulings

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 4581 )
Q1 My husband’s brother has a daughter who was raised in my home, in the house of her paternal uncle, my husband’s father’s brother. She has married and given birth to children. Are her children mahram to me, and is it permissible for me to kiss them and travel with them? I ask your eminence to guide me to the truth. I am the wife of this girl’s paternal uncle, her father’s brother, and I have not given birth to children, praise be to Allah.
A1 The children of that girl are not mahram to you, and even if this girl was raised
with you in the house of your husband, who is her paternal uncle, they are not given the ruling of your mahram regarding traveling with you or being in seclusion with you. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
