Is the sister's husband and the paternal cousin among the mahram?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Also, regarding her father, she says: He did not allow them to observe hijab from the sister's husband and the paternal cousin, on the pretext that they are mahram. We clarified this to him and said: They are not mahram. He became very angry with us, especially since we always listen to this program and convey to him what we hear, but he is not convinced. So what is your guidance to us regarding our father? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The sister's husband is not a mahram, unless there is breastfeeding between him and the rest, otherwise he is not a mahram; because the sister's husband is not a mahram. But if there is lawful breastfeeding between him and her sisters, they become mahram to him, excluding his wife.
The point is: The sister's husband, the aunt's husband, and the maternal aunt's husband are not mahram. The mahram are the mother's husband, the daughter's husband, the grandmother's husband, the daughter's daughter's husband, and the son's son is a mahram. As for the sister's husband, the maternal aunt's husband, the aunt's husband, and the aunt's daughter's husband, these are not mahram.
Likewise, the paternal cousin is not a mahram. No, the paternal cousin and the maternal cousin are not mahram. As for the sister's son, he is a mahram. The sister's son is a mahram because the woman is his maternal aunt, so he becomes a mahram to her. Likewise, her brother's son, his paternal aunt is a mahram to him.
It is obligatory for your father to fear Allah and to help in good. We ask Allah for his guidance. It is obligatory for him to fear Allah, not to issue fatwas without knowledge, and not to prevent you from the truth. So it is obligatory for you to cover and observe hijab, and it is not permissible to obey him in disobedience. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Obedience is in matters which are good and universally recognized.إنما الطاعة في المعروف
Sunan Abi Dawud 2625Sahih (Al-Albani)
A creature is not to be obeyed when it involves disobedience to the "Creator.”لا طاعة لمخلوق في معصية الخالق
Mishkat al-Masabih 3696
.
So it is obligatory for you to obey Allah and His Messenger, not the father, nor anyone other than the father, in disobedience. So you must observe hijab from the sister's husband, the paternal cousin, the maternal cousin, and the maternal aunt's son, unless there is breastfeeding between you and him. You must observe hijab from him like the rest...
This is the obligatory. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says in His great Book:
And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts.
[Al-Ahzab:53], the verse from Surat al-Ahzab. And He says, Exalted is He, in Surat al-Nur:
not expose their adornment except to their husbandsوَلا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ
[Al-Nur:31]. And "bu'ulat" means husbands
to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sonsإِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَائِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَائِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ إِخْوَانِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِي إِخْوَانِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِي أَخَوَاتِهِنَّ
[Al-Nur:31]. These are the mahram. Likewise, maternal uncles and maternal aunts, which are mentioned in Al-Nur as well, from its end.
The point is: It is permissible for the woman to reveal herself to the mahram. She reveals her face, her hands, and her feet; there is no harm in this. And modesty for the rest is better and safer. Modesty for the head and the like, so that no fitnah occurs. Otherwise, if her mahram sees her head, or sees her chest, it does not harm. But if she is modest, and she only reveals her face and her hands, this is better, safer, and more good, and further from evil.
The point is: The sister's husband is not a mahram, the paternal cousin is not a mahram, the maternal cousin is not a mahram, and the aunt's son is not a mahram. Likewise, the neighbor is not a mahram. Neighbors are not mahram unless they are relatives of the mahram, as maternal uncles, paternal uncles, brothers, husbands, or fathers, husbands, or the like. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good. How do they deal with the father's anger? May Allah reward you with good?

The Shaykh : In any case, the obligatory is kind speech and gentleness with him. For example, speak kindly, inform them of the fatwas published through "Nur 'ala al-Darb" or through the fatwas of the scholars, so that the truth becomes clear to him. And if it is possible that some of the scholars you know advise him, and contact him, either by phone or by correspondence; there is no harm. Or you advise him to listen to "Nur 'ala al-Darb," to listen to the tape containing these issues; perhaps Allah will guide him.
The point is: It is obligatory for you to be gentle and speak kindly with the father. His right is great, and even if he wrongs you, you must be kind in speech, gentle, and have good conduct with the father, and with the mother, always, constantly, constantly. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good. But is it not permissible to obey him in revealing oneself to non-mahram?

The Shaykh : The father is not obeyed, nor the mother, nor anyone else, in disobedience. Not in this, nor in anything else:
A creature is not to be obeyed when it involves disobedience to the "Creator.”إنما الطاعة في المعروف، لا طاعة لمخلوق في معصية الخالق
Mishkat al-Masabih 3696
Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
