The wife does not uncover herself before her husband’s brothers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 18051 )
Q: II live with my wife and children, along with my mother and my brothers and sisters, in one house.During the meal, I eat with my mother and my brothers from the same plate, while my wife remains alone; because my brothers are adult men. The question is: Am I sinful for doing this; because she may eat or may not eat since she is alone, and what do you advise me to do? May Allah reward you with the best reward.
A: What you are doing, which is that your wife does not eat with your brothers, is what is required; because they are non-mahram to her. It is obligatory for her to veil herself from them, and eating with them causes her to uncover her hands and face in front of them, and this is not permissible; because of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sonsوَلاَ يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلاَّ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ وَلاَ يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلاَّ لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَائِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَائِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ
[An-Nur 24:31]
the verse.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
