Absence for a long period: Is there a sin in it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth and sixth questions from Fatwa No. ( 606 )
Q5: Is there a sin or punishment for an employee who is away from his family for a long period, or not? It is known that this is due to his job, and nothing is lacking for his family except seeing him.
A5: If a man is absent from his wife for a long period in order to perform a duty specific to him or his family, or a general duty for him and the Muslim community, then there is no sin on him and no punishment. If he is absent from her for a long period without an excuse and without performing a duty, and she is content with that, then there is also no sin and no punishment. If she is not content, then he is sinful and deserving of punishment for his negligence of her marital rights, even if her livelihood, clothing, housing, and food are provided for. She has the right to demand her marital rights. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
