The fee of the authorized official for the marriage contract

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 8129 )
Q2: It is customary to give the authorized official a sum of money in exchange for contracting the marriage between the two spouses. Is it permissible for the authorized official to take this money? Knowing that he goes with the husband to the location of the marriage, even if the distance is long.
A2: If he is not an employee for this purpose and does not receive a salary from the state for it, it is permissible for him to take what is given to him in exchange for organizing the procedure of the contract and writing it,
but if he is an employee, it is not permissible for him, even if he moves from his place of work to the place of the marriage. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
