Does a woman present herself for marriage?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 6400 )
Q1: Is it valid for a woman to propose marriage to a noble brother in Allah; because of the qualities of the committed Muslim she finds in him, as the lady Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (may Allah be pleased with her) did? And if Islam permits this, does this not lead to the degradation of the woman's honor afterwards? Or what are the conditions that the woman must fulfill if she is attracted to a brother in Allah, where she is attracted to his morals, his Islam, and his commitment to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?
A1: If the matter is as mentioned, it is prescribed for her to offer herself to that man or one like him, and there is no harm in that, for Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) did it, and the woman who offered herself mentioned in Surat al-Ahzab did it, and 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) did it by offering his daughter Hafsa to Abu Bakr and then to 'Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them both).
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
