Q2: Is it permissible for a father to speak directly with his son or daughter regarding
the choice of a wife or a husband?
A2: Yes, it is permissible for a father to speak with his son about choosing a wife, and with his daughter about choosing a husband, and to consult with each of them in that matter; because of the benefit in it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
