Choosing a Wife

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 21676 )
Q3: I am 34 years old, and I am looking for a wife in accordance with the Shari'ah guidelines, if Allah wills. However, the thing that personally makes me uncomfortable is: marrying a girl, for example, between the ages of 18 and 22, on my assumption that they are not mature and it is difficult to live with them due to their lack of experience. But at the same time, I turn to the biography of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and find that there are different cases regarding the age difference between husband and wife. But my question is: If I insist on my opinion or on what I am comfortable with, would I be contradicting the Sunnah?
A3: There is no blame on you in marrying a woman you see as suitable for married life, whether she is your age, younger, or older, but
The Sunnah encourages marriage to virgins, as in the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) when he asked him about his wife:
Was she a virgin or a previously married woman? Jabir said: She was a previously married woman. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Why did you not take a virgin with whom you could play and with whom you could be playful?هل هي بكر أو ثيب؟ فقال جابر: بل ثيب، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: فهلا بكرًا تلاعبها وتلاعبك
It was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim and the compilers of the Sunan. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
