Repeatedly looking at a prospective bride

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 8233 )
Q2: I am a religious young man. I pray and I fast Ramadan in addition to Mondays and Thursdays, and I pay zakah and fulfill all the rights of Islam. However, I love a girl and I want to marry her. I went to ask for her hand in marriage, and her family told me: "If Allah wills, in a year, so that we can see what we will do regarding our studies, and if Allah wills, we will talk about this matter in a year." I go to them at any time. Is it forbidden or permissible? I let you know that I have not looked at her with a bad look, but Allah knows what is in my conscience and heart toward her.
A2: If the situation is as you described, there is no blame on you for the looking at her that occurred for the sake of proposing to her. However, do not repeat looking at her after you have known her description and appearance, and do not be alone with her for fear that something may occur between you that has no good outcome, knowing that she remains a stranger to you until the contract of lawful marriage is completed. We ask Allah to decree for you what is best in your matters of religion and worldly life. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
