Fatwa number ( 21356 )
Q: A man has two wives, and one of them has a stepson from her husband. Is this stepson a mahram to the second wife, who is the co-wife of his mother and the wife of his maternal uncle, meaning his mother’s husband, or is he a stranger to her? Please give us a ruling, may Allah reward you with good.
A: A stepson is not a mahram to the second wife of his mother’s husband merely because he is a stepson, nor is he a mahram to her daughters; because he is a stranger to them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
