Is a stepchild among the mahram (forbidden relatives)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: I married a second wife, and my first wife breastfed a child from among our relatives. Is the child who was breastfed by my first wife a mahram (forbidden relative) for the last wife or not?
A2: If the child was breastfed five times or more within the first two years from the milk of the first wife, her husband becomes the child's father through breastfeeding, and the child becomes a mahram (forbidden relative) for the second wife; because he is her husband's son through breastfeeding, and becomes her stepson. Allah the Exalted said:
except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sonsوَلاَ يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلاَّ لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَائِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَائِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ
[An-Nur 24:31]
, and it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
What is rendered illegal because of blood relations, is also rendered illegal because of the corresponding foster-relations.الرضاعة تحرم ما تحرم الولادة
Sahih al-Bukhari 3105
, and it is established from A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said:
it had been revealed in the Holy Qur'an that ten clear sucklings make the marriage unlawful, then it was abrogated (and substituted) by five sucklings and Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) died and it was before that time (found) in the Holy Qur'an (and recited by the Muslims).كان فيما نزل من القرآن: عشر رضعات معلومات يحرمن، ثم نسخن بخمس معلومات، فتوفي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم والأمر على ذلك
Sahih Muslim 1452a
. Breastfeeding is: when the child holds the breast and sucks milk from it. If he leaves it to breathe or move, that is one suck. If he returns and sucks milk, that is two.. and so on. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
