Q2: Is it permissible for the suitor to enter upon his aunt to greet her while she is in the waiting period, or not? And is it true that children who have not reached puberty may enter upon a woman who is in the waiting period?
A2: It is not permissible for the suitor to be alone with his fiancée or with her mother; rather, he is considered a non-mahram to both of them until the marriage contract is completed. After the contract, she becomes his wife, and her mother is among his mahram (relatives one may not marry), so it is permissible for him to enter to greet her during the waiting period and otherwise. It is also permissible for children who have not seen the private parts of women and have not reached puberty to enter upon a woman who is in the waiting period due to the death of her husband. As for a child who is not in that state, she must observe hijab from him; for Allah the Exalted said:[An-Nur 24:31] ,
Then He the Exalted said:[An-Nur 24:31] , and by the implication of His saying: [An-Nur 24:59] . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

وَلاَ يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلاَّ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ وَلاَ يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلاَّ لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَائِهِنَّThen He the Exalted said:
or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women
أَوِ الطِّفْلِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُوا عَلَى عَوْرَاتِ النِّسَاءِAnd when the children among you reach puberty, let them ask permission [at all times] as those before them have done. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses; and Allah is Knowing and Wise.
وَإِذَا بَلَغَ الأَطْفَالُ مِنْكُمُ الْحُلُمَ فَلْيَسْتَأْذِنُوا كَمَا اسْتَأْذَنَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
