Q: I breastfed from one of the sons of the one called (L. L. H) for a period of no less than fifteen days or more. I learned that the sons of (L. L. H) are my brothers, both those before me and those after me. I ask your Eminence to inform me of the ruling on the following: 1 - The aforementioned (L. L. H), from whose wife I breastfed, has two wives: the one I breastfed from, and another whom he has divorced. Is his divorced wife considered my maternal aunt and a mahram whom it is permissible for me to enter upon and greet, or not? 2 - Several children breastfed from these two wives with the milk of the aforementioned (L. L. H). Are their sons and daughters considered my brothers through breastfeeding?
A: If your breastfeeding from the milk of (L. L. H)'s wife was as you described, and it occurred within the two-year period, then you are his son and a brother to all his sons and daughters through
breastfeeding. Allah the Exalted said:[An-Nisa 4:23] up to His saying: [An-Nisa 4:23] , and He said: [Al-Baqarah 2:233] . It is established in the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: Sahih al-Bukhari 3105 It is also established in the hadith of A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "It was among what was revealed in the Qur'an: 'Ten known breastfeedings make a person a mahram,' then this was abrogated by: 'Five known breastfeedings.' The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away while they were still among what is recited in the Qur'an." Know that a breastfeed is: when the child holds the breast and then sucks milk from it. If he lets go to breathe or move, for example, that is one breastfeed. If he returns and sucks milk from it, that is a second breastfeed, and so on. The second wife of (L. L. H) is a mahram to you; because she is the wife of your father through breastfeeding. Allah the Exalted said: [An-Nisa 4:22] . And whoever breastfed from the milk of (L. L. H) or from the woman who breastfed you, all of them are your brothers through breastfeeding, as mentioned above.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Prohibited to you [for marriage] are your mothers, your daughters
حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَّهَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْyour sisters through nursing
وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِMothers may breastfeed their children two complete years
وَالْوَالِدَاتُ يُرْضِعْنَ أَوْلادَهُنَّ حَوْلَيْنِ كَامِلَيْنِWhat is rendered illegal because of blood relations, is also rendered illegal because of the corresponding foster-relations.
الرضاعة تحرم ما تحرم الولادةAnd do not marry those [women] whom your fathers married, except what has already occurred
وَلاَ تَنْكِحُوا مَا نَكَحَ آبَاؤُكُمْ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ إِلا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَAnd success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
