Fatwa No. ( 5272 )
Q: What should I do? I am a veiled girl who graduated from a commercial diploma this year and have not yet reached the age of eighteen, praise be to Allah. I did not obtain a score sufficient to enter university or an institute. What bothers me is that my family is sad; they are very upset because of their disappointment in me. I am one of the girls of Alexandria, and you know that the circumstances of (G.M.A) do not allow for a worker wearing the niqab except very rarely. I am unable to remove it. What should I do? I ask you to answer this message quickly, for you know it does not warrant delay. I ask Allah that I may find the solution with you.
A: Thank Allah for guiding you to what pleases Him, namely maintaining the wearing of the niqab, especially in a country like the one in which you live. Adhere to Islamic dress in your future life, and be patient with any harm that may befall you, for patience is the key to relief, and its outcome is good.
Fear Allah in all your affairs and rely upon Him, for whoever fears Allah, He will make ease for him in his affairs,[At-Talaq 65:3] . And whoever leaves what angers Allah seeking His Face, Allah will be with him and will make good easy for him wherever he is. We ask Allah for you success and rectitude, and that He make ease for you from hardship and comfort from distress. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
