The wife's legal rights after the contract and before consummation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question, fatwa number ( 10818 )
Q2: What are the husband's legal rights during the period of the marriage contract, that is: before consummation, and does he have the right to require his wife to seek his permission for everything, such as travel, fasting, going out, or the like?
A2: It is obligatory for the woman to protect her honor and to adhere to modesty at all times. After the marriage contract and before the husband enters with her, she is under the guardianship of her male relatives (asabah). Therefore, she must not travel without their permission and in the company of a mahram, and she must not leave the house without their permission. It is not obligatory for her to seek her husband's permission for these matters during that period. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
