Q2: My client, the father of the deceased, Dr. Muhammad Tariq Mahmoud, received 100,000 Saudi riyals as blood money from the driver who caused the accident. The question here is: Is it permissible for the widow of the deceased to share in this amount?
A2: If she is his free Muslim wife, she inherits from his blood money just as she inherits from the rest of his wealth. All of this is after settling his debts, if he had any, and executing his lawful bequest, if he made one.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
