Fatwa number ( 10325 )
Q: One of his sons mistreated him and his family, to the extent of attacking him with a knife, and he is seeking a ruling on depriving this mistreating son of his inheritance?
A: You have no right to deprive your son of his lawful inheritance; for it is Allah (Exalted and Majestic) who has made his inheritance obligatory, and it is not your right to annul what Allah has made obligatory.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
