The sisters’ relinquishment of their share of the inheritance
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 8782 )
Q3: My female sisters refused to take their share of the inheritance from my father’s land, and they said to me: We are forgiving you of our share with you, with complete satisfaction and trust, but I fear that sin will befall me because of that, despite everything they have said to me. What is the way out, given that they are determined not to take the land or the value of this land?
A3: If their relinquishment of their share, or their refusal to take it, is out of
complete satisfaction and a good disposition on their part, then there is no sin on you, and it is the right of the one to whom they relinquished it. Otherwise, it is not permissible. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
