Fatwa No. ( 20827 )
Q: If a young woman has a problem with her womb or her menstrual cycle that requires treatment and may delay pregnancy, should she inform the suitor of this?
A: If this problem is a temporary matter of the kind that happens to women and then goes away, there is no obligation to inform him of it. However, if this problem is one of the serious illnesses or not a minor temporary condition, and the proposal was made while it was still present and she did not recover from it,
then it is obligatory for her guardian to inform the suitor of it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
