A woman kissing her husband's brother's sons
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 8831 )
Q2: There is a woman who greets her husband's brother's sons with her face, and when I saw that, I asked about the reason, and I was told: there is no kinship that would make her greet them with her face, but it is a love of the heart, and she has been greeting them since they were young until now, and they are men. The question: Is that permissible? What is love of the heart, and what is the ruling on it?
A2: It is not permissible for a woman to greet her husband's brother's adult sons with her face, nor to shake hands with them; because they are not mahram (relatives one may not marry) to her, and the fact that she used to do that with them when they were young does not make it permissible to do so with them after they have become adult men, and likewise, their father is not one with whom she may do that. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
