Interrupting the Tawaf
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The seventh question of Fatwa No. ( 7306 )
Q7: A man was performing tawaf around the House, and for example, he was in the fifth lap. Before he completed the fifth lap, the iqamah for prayer was called, so he prayed and then stood up to complete the tawaf. Does the fifth lap, which he interrupted for the prayer, count, and he starts from where he stopped? Or is the fifth lap invalidated and he starts it again from the Black Stone?
A7: The correct view is that the lap is not invalidated in such a case; rather, he completes this lap from where he interrupted it for the sake of praying with the imam. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
