The ruling on one who breaks his ritual purity during tawaf or interrupts it for prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If one breaks his ritual purity during tawaf, does he start over or complete it? And if one interrupts tawaf to perform the prayer, does he start tawaf over or complete it? What is the difference between the two cases?

Answer:
If one breaks his ritual purity during tawaf, he must interrupt tawaf, just as one who breaks his ritual purity during prayer must repeat it from the beginning.
However, if the iqamah is called while he is performing tawaf, he should complete it and then make up the missed part; there is no harm in this. This is because he interrupted it for a legitimate religious excuse, and he is still in a state of ritual purity. He interrupted it for a legitimate religious excuse. This is like if he were crowded out of tawaf and then returned to it; he would complete his tawaf. As for one who breaks his ritual purity—whether by passing wind or urinating—he must perform wudu and repeat tawaf from the beginning, according to the correct opinion.
