Q3: During the farewell tawaf, I fell ill and stopped tawafing, while the rest of my companions completed their tawaf. After they finished, I went with one of them to complete the rest of my tawaf. I forgot a lap of the farewell tawaf and did not realize it until after I returned to my country. Do I owe a fidyah or anything ?
A3 : If you are certain that you left out a lap of the farewell tawaf, then you owe the fidyah, which is slaughtering a sheep in Makkah that is acceptable as an udhiyah, and distributing it to the poor of the Haram . If you cannot afford the fidyah, then fast for ten days. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
