Running and uncovering the right shoulder during the tawaf for 'Umrah
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa number ( 6744 )
Q4: Is it obligatory for the pilgrim or the one in ihram for 'Umrah to uncover the right shoulder during the tawaf of arrival or the tawaf of ifadah ? Is it obligatory for the one in ihram to run in the first three circuits of the tawaf of arrival or ifadah? And if he is required to run, what is the ruling if the crowd prevents him from doing so?
A4: It is recommended to uncover the right shoulder in all circuits, specifically in the tawaf of arrival, just as it is prescribed to run in the first three circuits of the tawaf
of arrival for the pilgrim and the one performing 'Umrah. If he is unable to run (i.e., jog) in the first three circuits, it is dropped from him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
