In which tawaf is the idhtiba' performed?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The first message in this session is from one of our brother listeners, who identified himself by the initials (S. A.). Our brother has a number of questions, one of which asks: Is the idhtiba' performed in the tawaf of Hajj, or in all voluntary 'Umrah tawafs? Please guide us. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance.
As for what follows: The idhtiba' is prescribed in the first tawaf, which is the tawaf of arrival, for both the pilgrim performing Hajj and the one performing 'Umrah. It is recommended for the pilgrim or the 'Umrah performer to perform the idhtiba' in the first tawaf they perform upon arriving.
The idhtiba' is placing the middle of one's cloak under the right armpit and the two ends over the left shoulder. This is the idhtiba': the middle of the cloak is under the right armpit, and its two ends are over the left shoulder, with the right upper arm exposed. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did it this way. When he finished the tawaf, he straightened his cloak, placing it over both shoulders and letting its ends hang over his chest before praying the two rak'ahs. He prayed with his cloak straightened, meaning placed over his shoulders and hanging down over his chest. This is the Sunnah that the Chosen One (peace and blessings be upon him) practiced.
Likewise, in the tawaf of arrival, it is recommended to perform the ramal in both Hajj and 'Umrah. The ramal is walking quickly in the first three circuits of the tawaf of arrival, and walking normally in the remaining four. This is called the ramal. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did it in the first tawaf, in his 'Umrah and his Hajj (peace and blessings be upon him). He would run in the first three circuits, meaning he would jog, and walk in the last four, if it was easy to do so. If there was a crowd and it was not easy, there is no blame; the ramal is dropped from him. But if there is space, he performs the ramal in the first three circuits and walks in the four.
As for the idhtiba', it is performed in the entire tawaf, in all seven circuits. One performs the idhtiba' in all seven circuits specifically in the tawaf of arrival, by placing the middle of the cloak under the right armpit and the two ends over the left shoulder throughout the tawaf. When he finishes the tawaf, he places his cloak over his shoulders and prays the tawaf prayer and what follows with his cloak in this state. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
