Wearing the Niqab and Applying Perfume

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The seventh question of Fatwa No. ( 3184 )
Q7: Is it permissible for a woman to wear the burqu' while in a state of ihram? My family members wore it, and when they returned from Hajj, they were told that their Hajj was not accepted because they had worn the burqu'. Is it permissible for a woman to apply perfume while in a state of ihram? Is it permissible for a woman to take pills to prevent her menstrual period during Hajj? Is it permissible for her, for example, to hold onto a non-mahram man, or someone accompanying them on Hajj, because of the crowd and fear of getting lost? Is it permissible for her to enter the state of ihram while wearing gold?
A7: A- It is not permissible for a woman to wear the burqu' while in a state of ihram; based on his statement
(peace and blessings be upon him):
And the woman does not wear the niqab, and does not wear the glovesولا تنتقب المرأة، ولا تلبس القفازين
, narrated by al-Bukhari, and there is no blame on one who wore the burqu' in a state of ihram while ignorant of the prohibition, and her excuse is valid. B- It is not permissible for one in a state of ihram to apply perfume after entering the state of ihram, whether male or female; based on his statement (peace and blessings be upon him):
And do not wear any garment that has been touched by (dyed with) saffron or Warsولا تلبسوا شيئًا من الثياب مسه الزعفران أو الورس
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2673Sahih (Darussalam)
, and the statement of A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her):
I put perfume on the Messenger of Allah for his Ihram when he entered Ihram, and for his exiting Ihram when he had stoned Jamrat Al-Aqabah, before he circumambulated the House.طيبت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لإحرامه قبل أن يحرم، ولحله قبل أن يطوف بالبيت
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2685Sahih (Darussalam)
, agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim, and based on his statement (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the man who died while in a state of ihram:
Do not touch him with perfume.لا تمسوه طيبا
, its authenticity is agreed upon. C- It is permissible for a woman to take pills to prevent her menstrual period from occurring while she is performing the rituals.
D- It is permissible for a woman, if she is compelled by the crowd during Hajj or otherwise, to hold onto the garment of a non-mahram man, or his cloak, or something similar, to use it to help her get out of the crowd. E- It is permissible for a woman to enter the state of ihram while wearing a gold bracelet or rings, or something similar, and it is prescribed for her to cover that from non-mahram men, out of fear of fitnah (temptation) caused by it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
