What is the ruling in the Shari'ah, in your opinion, regarding one who buys and sells and earns a livelihood while performing Hajj or 'Umrah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling in the Shari'ah, in your opinion, regarding one who buys and sells and earns a livelihood while performing Hajj and 'Umrah? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : The answer to this question is explained by Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in His saying:
There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلًا مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ
[Al-Baqarah 2:198]
If a person has come with the intention of Hajj, but he carries with him goods to sell in the season, or buys goods from the season for his family or to sell in his country, then there is nothing wrong with this, as long as the primary intention is Hajj or 'Umrah. This is part of Allah's (Mighty and Majestic) expansion for His servants, where He (Exalted and Majestic is He) did not prohibit them from trading and earning a livelihood. Similarly, if a person owns a car and wants to perform Hajj, then he loads people onto it for a fee, there is nothing wrong with that and no blame on him, due to its inclusion in the generality of His saying:
There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلًا مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ
[Al-Baqarah 2:198]
.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
