The questioner : How was the reception of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) when he migrated from Makkah to al-Madinah al-Munawwarah, and who were those who were in the company of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)? Please inform us of this, may Allah reward you.
The Shaykh : The reception of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he arrived in al-Madinah as an emigrant from Makkah was a great reception that indicates the joy of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) at his arrival and their love for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When they learned of his departure from Makkah, they would go out to the volcanic area to wait for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). One day, they went out to wait for him until the heat of the sun struck them, and then they returned. A man from the Jews was on a tower of the towers of al-Madinah, looking out for something he needed, when he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions. He called out at the top of his voice: "O Arabs, this is the matter you are waiting for," meaning: this is your share. So the Muslims went out to receive the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When he entered al-Madinah, they rejoiced in him with great joy.
As for his companions, the one with him was his companion Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), whose companionship Allah the Exalted indicated in His Book when He said:[At-Tawbah 9:40], and with them was a man named 'Abdullah ibn Urayqit who showed them the way.
The questioner : May Allah bless you.

If you do not aid the Prophet - Allah has already aided him when those who disbelieved had driven him out [of Makkah] as one of two, when they were in the cave and he said to his companion, "Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us."
