It is not permissible to build a school on land endowed for the mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 18050 )
Q: There is a large mosque, and with it is a large piece of land attached to it, which is endowed for the mosque. We want to build a school on it in order to prevent Muslim children from studying in the schools of the Christians, the polytheists, and the innovators, and to teach them the creed of the people of the Sunnah and the community. What is the ruling on building a school on this remaining place that is endowed for the mosque?
A: The land endowed for the mosque is attached to the mosque, and it is not permissible to convert it into a school; because this is changing the endowment to something the endower did not intend. However, it is possible to teach the boys in the mosque or in the aforementioned place attached to the mosque, while the place remains endowed for the mosque. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
