Is it true that supplication is not accepted unless the sending of blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) precedes and follows it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it true that supplication does not ascend to the sky for acceptance unless the sending of blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) precedes and follows it? What is the evidence for this? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : Sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) before supplication, and beginning with praise of Allah and extolling Him before supplication, is the best and the prescribed manner. So if one wishes to supplicate to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), let him begin with praise of Allah and extolling Him, then send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then supplicate with whatever he wishes. If he supplicates without doing so, there is no blame on him for it. Nor does leaving off the praise and extolling of Allah the Exalted and the sending of blessings upon His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) prevent the acceptance of his supplication. In fact, his supplication may be accepted even if he does not do so.
As for the hadith he referred to, it is what is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in his saying:
Supplication is suspended between the sky and the earth until you send blessings upon your Prophet. الدعاء موقوف بين السماء والأرض حتى تصلي على نبيك
But I do not recall at this moment the degree of authenticity of this hadith.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.
