A woman who did not fast for three months of Ramadan
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 10727 )
Q2: For three years, my wife has given birth at the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan, and she has not fasted for three months of Ramadan. Please inform us what the expiation is?
A2: It is obligatory for her to hasten to make up the fasting of Ramadan that she owes for the past three years. It is also obligatory for her to feed one poor person for each day, the amount being half a sa' of wheat, rice, or the like of the country's staple food; this is because she delayed making up the fasts until another Ramadan entered, provided that she delayed making them up while she was able to do so.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
