The ruling on one who breaks his fast in Ramadan and delays making it up until another Ramadan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our brother says: I fell ill and was unable to fast in Ramadan, so I postponed it to Ramadan of the following year. Is fasting alone sufficient, or is there an expiation, and what is it?

Answer:
If you postponed it because of illness, making up the fasts alone is sufficient for you. If the illness continued with you until the other Ramadan, then making up the fasts is sufficient for you, and praise be to Allah, and you owe nothing.
As for if you were lax and you were healthy, so you did not make up the fasts until after Ramadan, then you combine both matters: you make up the days you broke your fast, and you feed one poor person for each day. The amount is half a sa' by the sa' of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), which is approximately one and a half kilograms, of the staple food of the country, such as dates, rice, wheat, or the like. It is given to some of the poor; it is collected and given to some of the poor. Yes.
