The ruling on one who delays making up the fasts of Ramadan until another Ramadan has entered

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Please tell us about a woman who owes days from the month of Ramadan from two or three years ago. Does she only have to make up the days she owes, or does she also have to pay an expiation? And what is her expiation?
Answer: If a person delays fasting for a year or more without an excuse, he must repent to Allah, feel remorse, and resolve not to return to it. He must also make up the fasts and pay the expiation; these are three things: repentance, making up the days that the person, whether male or female, owes, and feeding one poor person for each day. However, if it was for an excuse such as illness, she owes nothing except making up the fasts. As for being lax, he must make up the fasts, repent to Allah, and feed one poor person for each day according to the number of days. For each day, he owes half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg). He may collect it all and give it to one poor household or one poor person; there is no harm in collecting it and giving it to some poor people at the beginning of the month or at the end, at the beginning of the fasting or at the end of the fasting. This is if he delayed it for a year or more. But if he made up the fasts in the year before the other Ramadan, in the same year he made them up, then he owes nothing except making up the fasts, and he does not have to feed anyone. Yes.
