The ruling on one who delays making up his missed fasts from Ramadan until the next Ramadan begins

The first question comes from our brother Shaykh Muhammad of Ayn al-Khudra, Msila Province, Algeria. In his first question, he asks about the ruling on one who broke his fast for two days in Ramadan until the next month of Ramadan arrived. What is the ruling on that, and please inform us?
Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance.
As for what follows: If one breaks his fast in Ramadan, it is obligatory for him to make it up before the next Ramadan. The period between the two Ramadans is a place of ease from our Lord (Glorified and Exalted is He) . If he makes it up in Shawwal, or in Dhul-Qa'dah, or in Dhul-Hijjah, or in Muharram, or after that, up to Sha'ban, he must make up what he missed due to illness, travel, or the like before Ramadan. If he delays it until the next Ramadan, the obligation to make it up does not drop; rather, it remains obligatory for him to make it up, but he is also required to feed a poor person for each day in addition to making up the fast. A group of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) issued a ruling to this effect. He makes up the fast and feeds a poor person for each day half a sa' of the local staple food, which is one and a half kilograms of the local staple food, such as dates, rice, or the like. However, if he fasts it before the next Ramadan, he makes it up and owes no feeding. Yes.
