Consecutive Years Without Fasting or Making Up Missed Days

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 6608 )
Q1: My wife has three or four Ramadans to make up, which she was unable to fast due to pregnancy or breastfeeding, and she is currently breastfeeding. She asks your Eminence whether you find a dispensation for feeding [the poor], given that she finds it very difficult to make up the fasts for three or four Ramadans?
A1: There is no blame on her for delaying the making up of the fasts if it is due to the hardship she faces because of pregnancy and breastfeeding. When she is able, she should hasten to make them up, as she is in the category of the sick. Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, says:
and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other daysوَمَنْ كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ
[Al-Baqarah 2:185]

And she does not have to feed [the poor]. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
