The distance for shortening the prayer while traveling

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 2242 )
Q: I own a grape farm located about 500 kilometers from the town. Is it permissible for me to break my fast during the day in Ramadan while traveling to and from the farm? I have an air-conditioned car, and I make up the days I fasted during the winter.
A: If the situation is as you described regarding the distance between the farm and the town, it is permissible for you to break your fast during your travel in the day of Ramadan, and you must make up the days you broke before the next Ramadan arrives, whether in winter or otherwise, due to the generality of the statement of Allah the Exalted:
and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardshipوَمَنْ كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلاَ يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَ
[Al-Baqarah 2:185]

And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
