Giving away lost property

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 13122 )
Q: I was walking in the old Jeddah airport, which is naturally an empty area with no residents, only roads for cars. I found 100 riyals lying on the ground, and because it was difficult to announce it, as the location
is in the middle of the city, so the announcement would have to be in all of Jeddah , and I was afraid that I would benefit from it, so I gave it in charity to those who deserve it.
I do not own the hundred to announce it, knowing that if I wanted to announce it, it would be a hardship for me because I am a student and do not own a car. So how can I announce it among a million people or more? Please inform us, may Allah reward you. Is there a sin on me?

A: If the matter is as you described and you gave the lost amount in charity on behalf of its owner, then there is no harm in that, and nothing is required of you.
