It is obligatory for the pilgrim to deposit a sum of money in the bank
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 5651 )
Q4: It is obligatory for one who wants to perform Hajj here in Turkey to deposit a sum of 125,000 Turkish Lira in the bank—as far as I know—which is a very large amount. Given that the banks are interest-based and there is no means to go for Hajj except through this method, is Hajj an individual obligation for the capable Muslim in this case? And if the Muslim performs Hajj, is his Hajj valid, considering that he has assisted the interest-based banks and the state?
A4: The Hajj is valid, and what is mentioned is not considered an excuse for delaying Hajj if the person is capable of performing it.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
