A6: The Islamic economy is based on lawful trade, investing wealth in what Allah the Exalted has made lawful, in accordance with the rules and regulations of lawful transactions, which are built on the principle of permissibility and lawfulness in transactions, and avoiding everything Allah has forbidden therein, such as riba (usury or interest). Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Baqarah 2:275], and He the Exalted said: [Al-Jumu'ah 62:10]

فَإِذَا قُضِيَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَانْتَشِرُوا فِي الأَرْضِ وَابْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
