The second question of Fatwa number ( 17340 )
Q2: How do you reconcile verse 104 of Al-Imran with:[Al-Ma'idah 5:105] , and with his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2169Hasan (Darussalam) A good hadith, and with the hadith: Sunan Ibn Majah 3976Da’if (Darussalam) Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, Good. I inform you, may Allah have mercy on you, that the meanings of the verses do not differ, nor do the authentic Sunnahs. Therefore, I know that the error lies in my mind and its incapacity. So what is the interpretation of that? And may Allah reward you with all good.
A2: There is nothing in the verse indicating the abandonment of enjoining good and forbidding evil; if doing so is possible, the verse by its explicit wording commands the servant to reform himself and do good with his effort. And reforming oneself includes enjoining good and forbidding evil. So if he fulfills what is obligatory upon him, it will not harm him if others go astray after him, provided he has done what Allah commanded him to do. Imam Ahmad narrated with a sound chain from Qays who said: .
And it is known that the servant does not attain complete guidance until he fulfills what Allah has made obligatory upon him of enjoining good and forbidding evil according to his ability. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
Q2: How do you reconcile verse 104 of Al-Imran with:
Those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided
By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! Either you command good and forbid evil, or Allah will soon send upon you a punishment from Him, then you will call upon Him, but He will not respond to you.
Part of a person’s goodness in Islam is his leaving alone that which does not concern him.

Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up, praised Allah and extolled Him, then said: O people, you recite this verse: O you who believe, be mindful of yourselves; it will not harm you who have gone astray if you are guided. And you are placing it in the wrong context. And I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: If people see an evil and do not change it, it is likely that Allah will encompass them with His punishment
And it is known that the servant does not attain complete guidance until he fulfills what Allah has made obligatory upon him of enjoining good and forbidding evil according to his ability.
